Philip Hemmers, D.O., A.A.A.A.I

 Dr. Philip Hemmers is a native of Long Beach, New York.  Together with his wife, Alyson, he is the proud father to three children.  Dr. Hemmers began his medical journey as a biomedical engineering student at Duke University.  After graduation and a short basketball career he returned home for medical school.  The intense curriculum at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine provided expertise in both traditional and complementary medicine.  After finishing top of his class in medical school, Dr. Hemmers moved to Manhattan to complete a pediatric internship and residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center.  At Mount Sinai, he was fortunate to train with the world’s leading experts in both food allergy and clinical immunology.  The number four subway brought Dr. Hemmers to Brooklyn for fellowship training at Long Island College Hospital.  During this time he gained valuable hands on experience and research expertise.  Additionally, he was able to work as a pediatrician and emergency room attending.  Dr. Hemmers is currently certified by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology to care for both CHILDREN and ADULTS.
